How to get the exact dates and other data in the record index books:

1. Order an Index Book (if still in print) by using the Publications page.

2. Contact HCGS Research Services to request look-ups for 50 cents per name (members) or $ 1 per name (non-members) and/or $10 for 1 hour research for members ($20 for non-members).

3. Hire a professional researcher. A list is available on the HCGS Research Services page.

4. Check major genealogical collections for the books -- the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County has a complete collection.

5. For those INDEX BOOKS that have been microfilmed, request the microfilm from the Family History Library at Salt Lake City at a Family History Center near you. Family History Centers in Hamilton County, Ohio have many of the books and access to the microfilms.
